The story behind HitchAI.

Why “HitchAI”?

We needed a snappy name for a platform grounded in the FYDP. Charles Hitch was the economist who introduced program budgeting in Robert McNamara's Pentagon — the discipline that became the Future Years Defense Program. Let's just call him the Father of the FYDP, and leave it at that.

Who's behind it

HitchAI was founded in July 2026 by Kevin Brancato. Kevin believes strategic market intelligence should be in the hands of every defense and federal contractor — and that AI is making that possible.
